A tiling trowel or notched trowel are specifically designed for scooping, spreading, levelling, combing and finishing adhesives and mortars during floor, wall or ceiling installations. A thin metal rectangle with a handle attached to one size, in a range of sizes. They are used to spread “thinset” of the adhesive or mortars with the notches allowing you to create “stripes” the correct depth to grip the tile and hold it in place.
